Overview | Paris polyphylla, also known as seborrheum, is the dry rhizome of Paris genus of trillaceae. The analysis of its chemical composition showed that the steroidal saponins contained in the plants of the genus was the main chemical composition. The steroidal saponins contained in Paris polyphylla are the material basis of its efficacy. Recent studies have found that Paridis anti-tumor can achieve anti-tumor effect by blocking tumor angiogenesis. It can not only anti-tumor, but also can reverse tumor drug resistance. The mechanism of killing tumor cells by polyphylum is to induce apoptosis of tumor cells. Paridis saponin V is one of the important monomers of Paridis extract, which has good anti-cancer effect. Paridis saponin monomer V showed good antitumor effect on colon cancer cells in vitro. Compared with oxaliplatin, a commonly used anti-tumor drug, polyphylla saponin V has strong anti-tumor properties on colon cancer cells, and has the potential to become an effective anti-colon cancer drug. figure: Paris polyphylla |
Anti-tumor advantage | the toxic effect of Rhizoma Paridis saponin on colon cancer cells. Rhizoma Paridis extract V on colon cancer cells Lovo, SW620, SW480, Colo320 have a certain degree of toxicity. The IC50 value calculated by SPSS23. 0 software showed that the saponin v monomer showed dose-dependent toxicity to colon cancer cells and showed good anti-tumor activity. Under the concentration of 2 mg/L, the toxicity of V in the colon cancer cells was better than that of oxaliplatin, which showed good anti-tumor properties. In addition, it not only shows a lower inhibitory concentration on colon cancer cells, but also can kill most tumor cells at a slightly large dose (e. G., 1-4 mg /L), which is superior to oxaliplatin. |
